Responsibilities / Tasks
As Commissioning Engineer, you will work independently, lead the team on site and conduct the commissioning activities. You work closely with the Project Manager and Site Supervisor. You will report to the Team lead Supervision and Commissioning.
In the position of Commissioning Engineer, you are the first point of contact during the onsite commissioning phase of a project. Therefore, you’re responsible for managing the operational employees onsite, including subcontractors if applicable. You coordinate and monitor safety, quality and planning and you steer where necessary.
Tasks:
Develop, describe, and advise on commissioning plans, procedures, and documents.
Align commissioning activities with customer requirements and local legislation.
Continuously willing to improve safety and quality of the commissioning works by improving the strategy, knowledge and documentation.
Read and understand P&ID diagrams and electrical schematics
Execute commissioning activities by Function Design Specification and the control philosophy.
Execute I/O-tests
Work with PLC and HMI/SCADA systems to the extend required for commissioning works.
Execute Site Acceptance Tests
Handle the completion of commissioning documents.
Advise internal and external stakeholders regarding the knowledge and use of the (automated) refrigeration plant
Organize and execute training sessions/operating instructions for local operators.
Support the Service Department regarding automation & control technologies.
Keep track of and stay within project planning calculated budget and hours.
Provide technical support during the sales process when requested.
Provide feedback to internal stakeholders, Engineering, Site Supervisors, Project Managers, Team Lead Site Supervision & Commissioning.
Stay informed and skilled with latest technologies by your internal network and maintain contact with fellow professionals or organized sessions with our main suppliers.
Your Profile / Qualifications
Technical education on HBO level or MBO level 4 supplemented by work experience.
Knowledge of the operation and commissioning of refrigeration and heat pump installations.
In possession of a driving license B.
Knowledge of the requirements of the Pressure Equipment Directive and Machinery Directive.
VCA-Basis, preferably VCA-VOL or willing to do so.
Good command of the Dutch and English language orally and in writing.
5 – 10 years’ experience as a (Commissioning) Engineer in industrial refrigeration technology.
Electrical engineering level 3, according to NEN-EN 50110 (NEN-3140 Skilled Person).
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
In possession of a STEK and/or F-Gas diploma (or willing to obtain one).
Flexible attitude towards working hours. These may be irregular, in accordance with the customer’s wishes.
Willingness to travel worldwide.
